A record weekend for Apple. The tech giant selling more than 13 million iPhone 6s and 6s Plus devices in their debut weekend. That tops the ten to eleven million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models sold in their opening weekend in 2014. The 6s sales exceeding the forecast of analysts. Max Wolff, Manhattan Venture Partners: (SOUNDBITE) MAX WOLFF, CHIEF ECONOMIST, MANHATTAN VENTURE PARTNERS (ENGLISH) SAYING: "It's another great success. We've got to be honest here, and give credit where it's due. It's another great run. We have to keep in mind, though, that, even though you are talking about 13 million, you're talking about four percent of the year. So, people do tend to pay a little bit more attention to these launches, annual launches, than their real weight in terms of what revenue and profit would suggest." The big opening weekend includes sales from a dozen countries around the world including China, one of Apple's biggest markets. The iPhone 6 didn't debut in China until a few weeks after it originally went on sale. Apple said the new iPhones would be available in more than forty additional countries beginning October ninth, and in more than 130 countries by the end of 2015.
