ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION Vice President Joe Biden has been speaking to guests at a Human Rights Campaign dinner in Washington DC about the progress of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in the United States. "The American people are so much better than their leaders give them credit for. Not only did all of you, by the chances that you took in your career in your lives, not only did you set your love free, you have set free millions of straight men and women. You have freed them from the stigma they feared if they spoke up and defended their lesbian or gay or Bisexual, transgender brother sister or friend, college roommate," he said. "I believe that not only did the social part of society keep so many LBGT members from coming forward it also stopped the tens and millions of straight people from coming forward. As I said back in 2012 the vast majority agreed with me with what I said and they have agreed with you for a long time before then. You left the supreme court no choice what so ever." Biden has yet to reveal whether he plans to seek the Democratic party's presidential nomination but some reports suggest his decision could come within the next two weeks.
