Red, white and rose.. some of the best vintages of French wine were sampled at the Montmarte Grape Harvest Festival in Paris. Locals and tourists alike gathered in one of Paris' most popular neighborhoods to taste wine and food from all over the France. SOUNDBITE: Kumiko Hashimoto, Japanese tourist, saying (English): "I think it is great: There is so many things from all over France and wine and cheese and oysters and…it's brilliant." As well as vineyards located in the French countryside, the festival also celebrates the only wine made within the Paris city limits. SOUNDBITE: Sylvie Fourmond, Director of Montmartre Tourist Office, saying (French): "First off, Montmartre is the only place that has a vineyard within the city, because vineyards are generally outside, so the special thing about Paris is that Montmartre has its own vineyard." The Montmarte Grape Harvest Festival is only held once a year. And for one weekend in October, the famous neighborhood is the toast of the town.
