ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton told a union group on Wednesday (October 14) that she does not support the Trans-Pacific Trade Pact because it doesn't address the problem of currency manipulation. Clinton met with members of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades in Las Vegas, Nevada, to receive their endorsement for the presidential campaign. She said she had "hoped for" an agreement that addressed currency manipulation, and the fact that it doesn't is "one of the major reasons" why she doesn't support the deal. "I voted for some trade agreements and I voted against some and on each case I have to decide whether the agreement as I understand it, as it has been described to me, meets the standards I set," she told the union members. I give President Obama and his team a great deal of credit for taking on this complicated negotiation. At the end of the day I do not believe it does meet my criteria" for approval. She also said she respects Vice-President Joe Biden and said the decision of whether he should run for president is one he will have to make in consultation with his family.
