ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Vice President Joe Biden delivered remarks about preventing sexual assault on campus during an "It's On Us" event with students at Clemson University in South Carolina, Tuesday (November 10). "We have to change the culture on campus and in society as to what's acceptable... We have to change the culture to understand no means no," said Biden. Last year, the White House partnered with Generation Progress to launch the "It's On Us" campaign to engage all members of campus communities in preventing sexual assault. This week has been declared the "It's On Us Week of Action" where colleges across the country will host events to mobilize students to take action to prevent sexual assault on campus. Almost one in five women have been victims of sexual assault, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Among those, nearly 40 percent were first assaulted between the ages 18 and 24. In comparison, one in 71 men have reported being raped at some point in their lives, CDC data showed.
