Iowa's Drake University is illuminated with France's national colors as Democrats face off in a highly-anticipated presidential debate. Jillian Kitchener reports.

Before the debate even started, the message was loud and clear... the U.S. stands in solidarity with France. Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, was just one of the landmarks across the country which donned the colors of the French flag. ...just a day after at least 129 people were killed in a wave of attacks across Paris. President Francois Hollande called it an "act of war" by Islamic State... a topic up for discussion as Democratic candidates tackle the issues of national security, border control, and counterterrorism.
