Before a basketball game at the University of California Long Beach ... a moment of silence in memory of student Nohemi Gonzalez. The 23-year-old from Southern California was among the nearly 130 people killed in shootings and explosions carried out by Islamic State militants in Paris on Friday. Her aunt, Sandra Felt, grapples with the loss, and says her niece was a go-getter, studying abroad for a semester at the Strate School of Design. (SOUNDBITE) (English) SANDRA FELT, AUNT OF NOHEMI GONZALEZ, SAYING: "She found the opportunity to go out there. She waited till the last minute. She didn't think she was going to get it, but later she called me and said, 'I got it! I'm going!' (Reporter asking: Now do you wish that she hadn't) Yes I'd give anything would have stopped her." Vigils have been held across the U.S. in solidarity with Paris, as the much-loved European country now searches for answers, and authorities work to track down the masterminds behind the deadly assaults.
