Parisians go back to work, school after attacks

Parisans do their best to return to their daily lives after scores were killed in militant attacks. Julie Noce reports.

Parisians gather at the Place de la Republique under overcast skies Monday as the city attempts to return to normal after last weekend's deadly attacks. Trains were filled with commuters. Patrons sat in cafes defying militants who actions shook the city to its core. Resuming everyday life is difficult but we do it with a stronger will, this man said. Terrorism exists to frighten us, and we have to challenge this fear. Scores were killed in the attacks Friday night at a concert hall, restaurants and a sports stadium by Islamic State militants. French authorities responded with several air strikes on Islamic State positions in Syria even as officials widen their investigations in Europe. As the country enters its third day of national mourning, residents do their best to move forward. We aren't the same as we were before, this woman said. We are tormented by the number of victims. A moment of silence will be held later in the day to remember those affected.
