Pope: World headed toward 'suicide' if no climate agreement

Pope Francis on board the papal plane said the human race is on the ''limits of suicide'' and needs to act now to reduce the effects of climate change. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.

A dire warning for the world as Pope Francis leaves Africa. With world leaders gathered in Paris to find a solution on climate change, the Pope says the stakes could not be any higher. (SOUNDBITE) (Italian) POPE FRANCIS SAYING: "I am not sure but I can say to you: 'now or never.'" From the first one which I believe was held in Tokyo, no? To now, little has been done. Every year the problems are getting more serious." He uses powerful language. (SOUNDBITE) (Italian) POPE FRANCIS SAYING: "We are at the limits. If I may use a strong word I would say that we are at the limits of suicide." He says he is praying for something good to come out of Paris.
