Another ferry filled with refugees and migrants arrives in Greece...this one carrying more than 1,600 passengers. At this rate, the International Organization for Migration says the number of arrivals in Europe this year will probably reach 1 million in the coming days. And spokesman Joel Millman says there's no sign of a slow down. (SOUNDBITE) (English) INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR MIGRATION (IOM) SPOKESMAN, JOEL MILLMAN, SAYING: "Obviously this is quite alarming and we are not looking forward to a winter like last year. But from what we can see the flows remain robust and dangerous." Robust and dangerous even in the face of worsening weather conditions and rougher seas. And those who are fleeing war, persecution and poverty say they're fearful of what lies ahead. (SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED REFUGEE FROM HOMS, SYRIA, SAYING: "We are from Syria. Yes, we are very afraid from the border between European countries. Yes, of course, we are afraid from winter." As these refugees begin their trek north, the European Union struggles to find a solution. The EU currently plans to resettle 160,000 asylum seekers, though with the number of displaced people at the highest since 1992, that plan could soon fall short.
