--AUDIO AS INCOMING-- ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Democratic Presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders focused on the money behind politics at a campaign stop in Las Vegas, telling supporters that the current system "is not democracy, it's oligarchy." Sanders focused on the 2010 Supreme Court decision in the Citizens United case, which changed the way political campaigns are run and paid for. The ruling opened the way for corporations, unions and the wealthy to spend unlimited sums of money in support of candidates. "Not only do we have to overturn Citizens United -- if we want the kind of vibrant democracy that I believe in, we need to move toward public funding of elections," Sanders said. "If a handful of billionaires, whether it's your own Sheldon Adelson, or the Koch brothers ... if billionaires are going to have their own caucuses , and are going to invite the candidates to tell the billionaires what they are going to do for them. That is not demcoacy..that is oligarchy," he said. The latest Reuters/Ipsos poll shows Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leading Sanders in the Democratic race by 59.9 percent to 28.4 percent in a national poll.
