Republican Rand Paul suspends presidential bid

Libertarian-leaning Rand Paul says he is dropping out of the White House race after failing to gain traction with voters. Jillian Kitchener reports.

After placing fifth in the Iowa caucuses, Republican Rand Paul has announced he will suspend his 2016 presidential bid. Paul said in a statement: "Today, I will end where I began, ready and willing to fight for the cause of Liberty." The Kentucky senator said he is focused on winning another term in office. But, his race for the presidency has come to a halt after his small-government campaign failed to gain traction with Iowa voters. Now, ten of these Republicans are left to fight their way to the White House.
