British actress Emma Watson and German actor Daniel Brühl attend the European premiere of ''Colonia''. Edward Baran reports.

British actress Emma Watson and German actor Daniel Brühl attended the premiere of "Colonia" on Friday in Berlin. The film, directed by Oscar winner Florian Gallenberger, is about a reclusive German sect founded in the 1970s in southern Chile. A young German couple, played by Watson and Bruhl, become entangled in a military coup. When Bruhl's' character Daniel is abducted by General Augusto Pinochet's secret police, Lena, played by Watson, tracks him down to a sealed-off village which is the the centre of a notorious cult. The Harry Potter star explained her reasons for choosing the role SOUNDBITE. (English) British acress Emma Watson, saying: "Lots of people have asked whether I chose this film because of my new found interest in politics. But really, it was just that I loved the role and of course it is an era that I am interested in, but it was really the character that drew me to the film." The film went on release in Germany in January.
