ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) New Jersey Governor Chris Christie endorsed Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Friday, saying his former rival for the White House had the best chance at beating Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the Nov. 8 election. "He is a good friend. He is a strong and resolute leader and he is someone who is going to lead the Republican party to victory in November over Hillary Clinton which is the single most important thing we can do," said Christie ahead of a Trump campaign rally in Texas. With Trump, a brash former reality TV show host, now winning three straight nominating contests in New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada, denial is giving way to a mostly gloomy acceptance among Republicans in Washington that he may have too much momentum to be stopped, especially if he wins big in the key Southern primaries next week. Opinion polls predict the 69-year-old billionaire would win big in the crucial Super Tuesday nominating contests next week and is increasingly looking to be the party's likely nominee for the Nov. 8 election.
