North Korea firing off a defiant round of short-range projectiles into the sea on Thursday. South Korean officials trying to work out if they were missiles or artillery. It's a provocative move just hours after the UN slapped the North with some of its toughest sanctions ever. The Security Council voted unanimously on Wednesday to punish Pyongyang even further. That included a signature from North Korea's main ally China - which has lost patience with Kim Jong-Un after a nuclear bomb test and a suspicious rocket launch. The UN wants to cut off money, fuel and technology that could be funnelled into Pyongyang's weapons program. That'll include inspecting all cargo coming in and out of the country, shutting down North Korean military training programs in places like Africa, and banning the sale of luxury goods from watches to snowmobiles. China will be key if the sanctions are going to be successful... It's responsible for the vast majority of trade with North Korea, but Beijing's wary of going too far, and tempting fate with an angry nuclear neighbour right next door.
