Donald Trump was speaking on stage at his rally in Vandalia, Ohio when suddenly, it wasn't clear what spooked the Republican front-runner. But tensions were already high after scuffles broke out between his supporters and demonstrators at his Chicago rally the night before. Small groups of protesters have routinely interrupted Trump rallies. But nothing compared to the chaos of Friday night, when -- for the first time -- there may have been just as many protesters as supporters. Demonstrators shut down the rally, leaving Trump supporters fuming for being robbed of a chance to see their candidate. On Saturday, Trump blamed the protests on what he said was a "planned attack" by "organized" "thugs" on the left, groups like Moveon.org, he said, and even supporters of Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders. REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE DONALD TRUMP SAYING: "We're people that built this country and made this country great. And we're all together and we want to get along with everybody. But when they have organized, professionally staged wise guys, we've got to fight back." The real estate mogul said the Chicago incident "energized America". But some of his Republican rivals said Chicago showed Trump had created a "toxic" and "divisive" environment that threatens to tear the Republican party apart at the seams.
