This popular beach resort town in Ivory Coast has been left reeling after a deadly Al Qaeda attack. Dressed in black, six gunmen opened fire around lunch time, killing 16 people, including four foreigners. They were later killed by special forces. Shocked eyewitnesses describe their experience... (SOUNDBITE) (French) EYEWITNESS, YAPI MARIE CLAIRE, SAYING: "Truly, truly terrifying. They were truly terrorists. The people that we were with us told us once these men started to speak in Arabic, they knew they were terrorists. We never thought this could happen here. It's truly not easy, it's not easy, it's not easy." (SOUNDBITE) (French) EYEWITNESS, KOUAKOU BERTIN, SAYING: "He came up to my friend when he was speaking on the phone, and shot him in the head. When he shot him in the head, he shouted "Allahu Akbar", and at that moment three others arrived and started shooting." The North African branch of Al Qaeda has claimed responsibility. The attack raises fears that Islamist militants are extending their reach beyond traditional zones.
