ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump mocked rival Ted Cruz during a campaign stop in Arizona on Saturday. The New York billionaire arrived at the rally site in Phoenix, after protesters who originally blocked the highway had dispersed. The demonstrators carried American and Mexican flags, in a reference to Trump's claims last summer that many of the Mexicans who were crossing into the U.S were "rapists" and "murderers." At Saturday's rally, Trump called Cruz, "lyin Ted" and ridiculed Cruz's claims that he was the only Republican candidate who could defeat Trump for the nomination. Reuters interviews with activists across more than a dozen states, as well as recent polls, found that the Republican front-runner has won over many influential Tea Party followers who could provide crucial support at the upcoming convention. Arizona voters go to the polls on Tuesday.
