NATURAL ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Two explosions tore through Brussels airport on Tuesday morning (March 22), killing at least 11 people in what Belgian media called a suicide attack, and a further blast struck a metro station in the capital shortly afterwards. A video uploaded to social media showed the immediate aftermath of the blast at Maelbeek metro station, where stunned commuters could be seen gathering at the entrance to the underground rail network. Black smoke could be seen rising from the entrance to the station. The metro station hit by the explosion is close to European Union institutions.
