ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) The superstar lead singer of U2, Bono, testified on Capitol Hill on Tuesday about the need for more funding to deal with the refugee crisis hitting Europe as a result of violent extremism. He said pledging more money to aid in the effort wasn't a matter of charity, but national security. Flanked by high-ranking UN and State Department officials, Bono went on to compare the treatment of refugees today to the Berlin Wall. "In 1989, the wall that divided Europe came down -- a remarkable moment to live through. Who could imagine in 2016, another set of walls being built up? This time being made of mesh and razor wire, but walls nevertheless," Bono said. "Sometimes hope needs a little bit of help," he added.
