ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Republican presidential candidate John Kasich told supporters in Connecticut that he sees a path to becoming the nominee at the party's convention this summer. Kasich said he will be in the best position to beat Hillary Clinton if she becomes the Democratic nominee. He also said he had the proper experience to serve as president. "If you want to go on an airplane flight, it is bets to go with somebody who has flown a bunch, I don't want to get in an airplane with somebody who says 'You know I have really never done this before but I I think I can do it, because I am really great.'" His comments come after earlier in the day rival Donald Trump called on Kasich to drop out of the race. Donald Trump's delegate tally now stands at 845, while Sen. Ted Cruz has 559 and Kasich 147, according to the Associated Press. Next Tuesday's contests offer 172 delegates for Republicans. A total of 1,237 delegates is needed to become the Republican nominee.
