The Republican National Committee is hoping an upcoming meeting between presumptive nominee Donald Trump and House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan brings the warring factions together. Jillian Kitchener reports.

Paul Ryan says he's not ready to support Donald Trump as the Republican candidate for president. Donald Trump says HE'S not ready to support Paul Ryan's agenda as house-speaker. But with the presidency, and the future of the Republican Party at stake, both men have at least agreed to meet and discuss their differences. Party chairman Reince Priebus says he hopes the meeting will change Ryan's mind and bring unity to the GOP. (SOUNDBITE) RNC CHAIRMAN REINCE PRIEBUS, SAYING: "He wants to get there. It's just that he just wants some time to just work through it." For Paul Ryan, Trump's ascendency has been difficult to watch. He's objected publicly to the billionaire's rhetoric on immigration and Muslims…and opposes his positions on trade, government entitlement and military intervention. But Trump points to his considerable support from grass-roots Republican voters and says the party should unite behind him. But whether either man can change their positions enough to support one another.. is by no means certain.
