The news came just a day ahead of the big June 7th primary in California, and five other states, and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was sensing victory. (SOUNDBITE) (English) DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE HILLARY CLINTON SAYING: "According to the news we are on the brink of a historic -- historic, unprecedented moment." What she was referring to at a campaign rally in Long Beach, California appeared to be an Associated Press report that said she had reached number of delegates needed to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination. The former secretary of state has reached the 2,383 delegates needed to become the presumptive Democratic nominee with a sweeping victory in Puerto Rico over the weekend, and a surge in promised support from superdelegates.
