The two Democratic presidential candidates are set to meet .. but this time, it's not for a televised debate. With Hillary Clinton now the presumptive Democratic nominee, Bernie Sanders is expected, at some point to pledge his support. Whether such a pledge comes at their meeting is unknown, but Sanders has made it clear that he'll press Clinton to embrace his progressive agenda. ... specifically his view that healthcare should be a right and public universities should offer education for free. The self-described socialist has not conceded defeat. Even though Clinton made history as the first woman to receive enough delegates needed to win the Democratic nomination. According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll, more than three-quarters of Democrats say Sanders should have a "major role" in shaping the party's positions. But two-thirds ALSO say that Sanders SHOULD endorse Clinton... to strengthen the party before November's likely showdown with Republican Donald Trump.
