STORY: A week after Democrats staged a marathon sit-in on the House floor demanding a vote on gun control legislation, Speaker Paul Ryan says the House will vote next week on a measure to keep suspected terrorists from buying guns. The bill is part of a larger terrorism package aimed at stopping the recruitment and radicalization of terrorists. Speaker Ryan made the announcement to Republicans in a conference call. House Republicans have been under mounting pressure to advance gun-control legislation following the mass shooting in Orlando. Democrats are vowing to keep pressing for stricter gun policies when they return to Washington after their July 4th break. They say they could stage another sit-in.
