Rallies across U.S. against police shootings

Protesters in New York, St. Paul, Dallas and elsewhere rally against the two police shootings caught on video in Louisiana and Minnesota this week that have prompted a social media outcry and federal investigations.

+++ RESENDING VIDEO TO PROPERLY COVER CHEST WOUND IN SHOOTING VIDEO +++ Outrage and protests across U.S. cities on Thursday, after the second police shooting of a black man in two days. They marched in New York, with local media saying about a thousand people gathered at Union Station... their signs showing their frustration over the latest incident of alleged police brutality. They rallied in Chicago, in Dallas, in Atlanta, in St. Paul and other smaller cities. The two shootings within a day of each other -- in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and St. Paul, Minnesota -- have sparked an outcry on social media and prompted investigation at the state and federal level. In Poland, President Obama said the killings weren't simply 'incidents"... OBAMA BITE The labor union that represents the officer in the Minnesota shooting is urging people to reserve judgment. But more rallies are planned for Friday, and weekend protests as far away as London were being talked about on social media.
