Hillary Clinton has released hers, now she wants rival Donald Trump to do the same. The U.S. Democratic presidential nominee made public her 2015 tax returns showing she and her husband paid more than $3.6 million dollars in taxes on adjusted gross income of ten and a half million dollars. SOUNDBITE: DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE HILLARY CLINTON, SAYING: " "He doesn't even respect the American people enough to do what every presidential candidate has done for decades and release them. It's time for Trump to stop hiding." Clinton has been criticizing Trump on the campaign trail for his decision not to release his returns. The Republican presidential nominee says he hasn't released them because they're under audit by the IRS. SOUNDBITE: REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE DONALD TRUMP, SAYING: "Because it's under order. And I'll release them when the audits completed. Nobody would release when it's under -- I've had audits for 15 or 16 years. Every year I have a routine audit. I'm under audit, when the audits complete I'll release them." The IRS has said Trump can release his tax returns even while under audit. It's customary for U.S. presidential candidates to make their returns public, although the practice is not required by law.
