ROUGH CUT -SUBTITLED (NO REPORTER NARRATION) The Philippines national police chief told a group of drug addicts to kill their drug dealers, echoing rhetoric from President Rodrigo Duterte's bloody crack-down on illegal drugs. Ronald dela Rosa was speaking to a group of drug users who had turned themselves in. "You can kill them because you are the victims. Go to them, pour gasoline on their houses and burn it down. Show them your anger." He added, "these people have long been getting rich. What about you? Your brains are getting small and melting." Dela Rosa, who leads Duterte's anti-drug campaign later apologised for the statement saying he had become emotional after seeing the plight of the drug addicts. More than 1,900 people have been killed in Duterte's war on drugs since he came to power seven weeks ago, according to police figures.
