If Trump employees really do like their boss, they're not showing it with their wallets. Reuters senior campaign finance correspondent Michelle Conlin has been digging through Federal Election Commission filings and found that it's hard to find a Trump employee among Trump's donors. SOUNDBITE: MICHELLE CONLIN, CORRESPONDENT, REUTERS, (ENGLISH) SAYING: "Donald Trump has disclosed to the federal government that he has more than five hundred business entities. And we have an estimate that there about twenty-two thousand, four hundred and fifty employees of those companies. That's the best estimate that exists. And what we found is that of those more than twenty-two thousand employees, uh, only twelve have donated to his campaign, according to these finance reports that campaigns have to file." Twelve people. Reuters found a thirteenth who gave not to Trump's campaign but to a pro-Trump superpac. FEC filings only show individuals who donate $200 or more to either Trump's campaign or joint fundraising committees. There could be more small-dollar donors would not have shown up in Reuters' review of donors. This election cycle Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton has received $324,000 from employees at the State Department, which she ran from 2009 to 2013. The twelve Trump employees' donations add up to just over $5,500. The Trump campaign sent this statement in response to Reuters' findings: 'Mr. Trump has self-funded the majority of his campaign so the comparison is not realistic.'
