Meet the internet's newest star...Arshad Khan, a hot tea seller in Islamabad, Pakistan. The 18-year-old rocketed to fame when a photographer posted his picture on the internet. Social media users shared the photo thousands of times, all unbeknownst to Khan. (SOUNDBITE) (Urdu) PAKISTANI TEA VENDOR, ARSHAD KHAN, SAYING: "I came to know this morning that I am very good-looking. All these people are coming and taking pictures and videos of me." Khan has worked at the Sunday market for years, first selling fruit and now tea. But he found his first taste of fame to be a little unsettling. (SOUNDBITE) (Urdu) PAKISTANI TEA VENDOR-TURNED, ARSHAD KHAN, SAYING: "Today I was very happy, but I did not know how this happened, or who took the picture. So I got quite worried because I could not make out what was happening. It was all very baffling." Khan is an ethnic Pashtun, a heritage shared by some of Bollywood's biggest stars. He says he would consider acting if he could find what he called, "clean, honorable work." In the meantime, British media are reporting that he's been snapped as a model for an online retailer. The hot tea seller of Islamabad will soon be showing off the season's hottest clothes, and no doubt having others serve tea to him.
