ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton told supporters on Sunday (October 23) that she wants to give her Republican rival, Donald Trump, the opportunity to pay federal income taxes. The comment came during a campaign stop in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she was laying out her economic plan. She told the crowd that she would pay for the proposals by raising taxes on the wealthy, and added that she wanted to give Trump the opportunity to pay federal income taxes. The comment was a reference to a tacit admission the New York businessman made in the second presidential debate that he didn't pay federal income taxes for 20 years. National opinion polls show Clinton is widening her lead over Trump as the two candidate enter the final weeks before the November 8 election. And the latest Reuters/Ipsos States of the Nation project results show Clinton with a commanding lead in the Electoral College. According to the project, she has a better than 95 percent chance of winning, if the election was held this week. The mostly likely outcome would be 326 votes for Clinton to 212 for Trump. Both candidates are spending much of their final campaign time urging supporters to be sure to vote and to help ensure like-minded voters go to the polls also.
