Nevada residents are heading to the polls for early voting, just days after the final presidential debate. Carson City Clerk Recorder Sue Merriweather said lines on Saturday were longer than what they've seen before. (SOUNDBITE) CARSON CITY CLERK RECORDER, SUE MERRIWEATHER, SAYING: "I think they're coming out so they can get it out of the way so they don't have to listen to the candidates anymore." But voters like Mike Cady said he voted out of urgency. (SOUNDBITE) NEVADA RESIDENT, MIKE CADY, SAYING: "I think we need to change and I think the country is ready for that change and that's why I think you're going to see a big, big turnout." He said he believes Republican Donald Trump will deliver that change. Striking a different chord, pop star Katy Perry encouraged voters at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to support Democrat Hillary Clinton: (SOUNDBITE) KATY PERRY, SAYING: "First of all, she's fighting for the opportunity to go to college and not be paying off it for the rest of your life." But the bottom line, she says, is you have to vote. (SOUNDBITE) KATY PERRY, SAYING: "I'm here because we know how important Nevada is, we know how important your voice is, especially. So you can vote early..." If these lines are any indication, voters are aware of their ballot's power. Early voting ends in Nevada on November 4th.
