ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Members of the Syrian Civil Defence, also known as the 'White Helmets,' conducted a painstaking operation to dig out alive a boy buried in the rubble of a collapsed building on Monday (October 24), video uploaded to a social media website purports to show. Men in white helmets uniforms are seen using power tools and a mechanical digger to methodically remove layers of debris to uncover the boy with a bloodied head and his right arm wrapped in a bandage. The images, uploaded bearing the White Helmets logo, were said to show a home in Kafr Takhraim, in Idlib province, Syria, after it had been bombarded. An indistinct conversation is heard where the rescuers try to determine where other members of the boy's family might be buried, based on their location in the house before the strike. Idlib province is largely held by rebel groups fighting President Bashar al-Assad's forces and his allies.
