ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: U.S. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, addressing supporters in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Wednesday started his remarks talking about his plans for growing the African American middle-class. "Every African American citizen in this country is entitled to a government that puts their jobs, wages, and security first," Trump said. "Whether you vote for me, or not. I will be your greatest champion," he added. In his appeal to African-American voters, Trump has in the past lamented the woes of black communities, asking those who traditionally vote Democratic to take a chance on him. But his often dire portrayals of their lives have left some black voters unmoved.
