Apple has unveiled a revamped MacBook Pro. It now has Touch ID, the fingerprint reader also used on iPhones, and Touch Bar, the touch screen to control programs and apps. This is the first MacBook Pro redesign in several years. Some analysts read it as a sign Apple still sees a role for the product that launched the company, even though its iPhones far outsell MacBooks. Jan Dawson of Jackdaw Research. (SOUNDBITE) JAN DAWSON, CHIEF ANALYST, JACKDAW RESEARCH, (ENGLISH) SAYING: "This should drive some stronger sales, should perhaps get that revenue growth going again, which is being slow and declining recently. So that should certainly help going into next year especially." Apple is competing with other computer makers who are also revamping their PC lines. On Wednesday, Microsoft launched Surface Studio which is expected to compete with iMac.
