ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Republican Donald Trump tried to capitalize on Democratic rival Hillary Clinton's renewed legal troubles with the FBI over her use of a private email server, telling supporters at a rally in Colorado that the evidence against her is now "overwhelming". The announcement on Friday that FBI Director James Comey had sent a letter to Congress saying that it is again looking at Clinton's use of a private server for emails when she was secretary of state. Trump trails Clinton by wide margins in most nationwide polls ahead of the November 8th election. "Hillary has no-one to blame but herself for her mounting legal troubles," said Trump, "Her criminal action was willful, deliberate, intentional, and purposeful." Clinton has called on Comey to make the details of any new developments public. The FBI would not have acted, said Trump, unless the evidence was "overwhelming". He accused US Attorney General Loretta Lynch of trying to shield Clinton in exchange for a promise that her appointment would be renewed, and said her actions were proof that the U.S. had become "a Third World country". Trump said he was guessing "without any knowledge", that there had been "a revolt" inside of the FBI over the previous ending of the inquiry, leading to Friday's developments. Sources close to the investigation on Friday said the latest emails were discovered as part of a separate probe into Anthony Weiner, the estranged husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin. Weiner, a former U.S. congressman from New York, is the target of an FBI investigation into illicit text messages he is alleged to have sent to a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina. Trump said the fact that the emails were on Weiner's "wherever" were an example of Clinton's "bad instincts".
