There's a lot to love about Paris. A lot more, say its residents, than London. (SOUNDBITE) (English) BUSINESSMAN AND ECONOMIC AMBASSADOR FOR ONE-STOP SHOP "CHOOSE PARIS REGION", ROSS MCINNES, SAYING: "Brexit has actually led us to think about what we can do to attract jobs and people who are likely to be facing major uncertainty". If the accent's a source of uncertainty - it's French Australian. Ross McInnes the man leading Paris's bid for British business. (SOUNDBITE) (English) BUSINESSMAN AND ECONOMIC AMBASSADOR FOR ONE-STOP SHOP "CHOOSE PARIS REGION", ROSS MCINNES, SAYING: "A large economy, a real economy, an ecosystem with people who are competent, trained, who are able to do some of the same things which have made London a leading financial centre." Most are based in Paris's business district, La Defense. but it's not just bankers they're after. (SOUNDBITE) (French) FRENCH PRESIDENT OF ILE-DE-FRANCE REGION, VALERIE PECRESSE, SAYING: "Amazon is about to open its data centre, Facebook launched its artificial intelligence laboratory, General Electric its Digital Foundry on connected objects." The attempts to leap-frog London are a rare show of political unity. The adverts and roadshows the spawn of conservative controlled local authorities. Expat tax breaks that of a Socialist government. (SOUNDBITE) (French) FRENCH PRIME MINISTER, MANUEL VALLS, SAYING: "Paris has all the assets, its Region has all the advantages, to win this battle of attractiveness." While that may be simplifying the debate. The Parisian charm will no doubt be a potent weapon against the competition. As McInnes says, when did you last book a weekend in Frankfurt?
