ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: British Prime Minister Theresa May on Sunday said the parliament must not stop the government from delivering Brexit "in full". Speaking as she left Heathrow Airport, West London, for a trade trip to India, May insisted that the outcome of the European Union referendum on June 23 must be respected by politicians. "I think what we all have to remember, and what MPs and peers have to remember, is that we had a vote on the 23rd of June, the majority of the British people voted to leave the European Union. The government is now getting on with that. I want to ensure that we get the best possible deal for the UK as we leave the EU, that's the best possible deal for trading with and operating within the single European market," May said. On Thursday (November 3) a British court ruled that the government needs parliamentary approval to start the process of leaving the EU known as Article 50. The government is appealing the decision which has provoked anger amongst ardent eurosceptics who fear politicians who supported staying in the bloc will try to water down the terms of Britain's exit. May is making her first trade trip since taking office to try to boost ties with India before Britain leaves the EU and to pave the way for a free trade deal as soon as possible once Brexit is completed. May, accompanied by trade ministers Liam Fox and Greg Hands and around 40 business representatives mainly from small- and medium-sized technology and healthcare firms, will address a technology summit, have a working lunch with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and meet businesses.
