ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: British Prince Harry was joined by his grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh at Westminster Abbey on Thursday (November 10) where they visited the Field of Remembrance to commemorate Armistice day . Philip and Harry each laid a Cross of Remembrance, in front of two wooden crosses from the Graves of Unknown British Soldiers from the First and Second World Wars. Armistice day is commemorated with two minutes silence at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marking the time in 1918 when the guns of World War One fell silent across Europe. Every year in November, villages, towns and cities across Britain honor those who have lost their lives in war on Remembrance Sunday. This is Prince Harry's first public appearance since he issued a rare statement on Tuesday (November 8) criticizing the media for intruding into the private life of his American girlfriend Meghan Markle, saying the press had subjected her to "a wave of abuse and harassment".
