ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION). STORY: Public workers clashed with police in the streets of Santiago on Thursday as they demonstrated against salary adjustments presented by the government. The demonstration was led by the National Association of Fiscal Employees (ANEF) who were joined by other workers' groups. Demonstrators were sprayed with water cannon and there were isolated clashes between some protesters and police with riot shields as they marched through the capital city past government buildings. Workers delivered a letter addressed to President Michelle Bachelet calling on a swift resolution to the stand-off over salaries for public workers.
