ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Actor Liam Neeson visited the Zaatari refugee camp near the border of Syria on Monday (November 7) as part of his role as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. The actor visited the camp and various schools and families to highlight the plight of children affected by Syria's five-year civil war. Children in the camp are also gearing up to face yet another school year away from their classrooms in Syria. Jordan currently hosts more than 1.4 million refugees with most of them living in urban areas and around 100,000 Syrians in camps. Around 85,000 have found sanctuary at Zaatari, some 15 kms (10 miles) from Jordan's border with Syria and now one of the world's largest refugee camps. Since the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad began in 2011, more than 4.2 million people have fled Syria. Some 13.5 million people need protection and help inside the country, of which more than six million are children, according to the United Nations.
