Pussy Riot song portrays Trump presidency

A new song by Russian activist and member of Pussy Riot portrays life under a Trump regime. Julie Noce reports.

She made the video a few weeks before Donald Trump was voted in as President-elect, but for Nadya Tolokonnikova, the timing couldn't be more perfect. A new song by a band member of The Pussy Riot portrays what she thinks a Trump presidency would be like. (SOUNDBITE) (English) MUSICIAN AND PROTESTER, NADYA TOLOKONNIKOVA, SAYING: "the goal of the music video was to warn people and share my experience with living with Vladimir Putin with Americans who about to vote for Trump." The singer and protester, who was jailed for a performance at a cathedral in Moscow, now lives in L.A. Her new song, "Make American Great Again" shows her getting objectified and judged by guards in Trump-esque hair-dos. She says for Americans, the song is a cautionary tale. (SOUNDBITE) (English) MUSICIAN AND PROTESTER, NADYA TOLOKONNIKOVA, SAYING: "Putin is bad, Putin is really bad but you have to look around and understand that something like we have in Russia could happen here in America as well if you do not fight for your rights." Tolokonnikova has also released a music video entitled 'Straight Outta Vagina' about women's rights and has five other projects coming out soon.
