ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Entertainer Jon Stewart says the Washington "swamp" that President-elect Donald Trump has promised to 'drain' was actually the Republican party leadership. Speaking on the CBS This Morning news show with journalist Charlie Rose, Stewart said Trump was not a Republican but in fact a "repudiation of Republicans" who will now "reap the benefit of his victory". Trump made frequent campaign promises to "drain the swamp" of business-as-usual Washington insiders. The billionaire is a Republican outsider who won a surprise election victory last week. Stewart is the former host of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" and has been on a media tour to promote his new "oral history" of the 16 years he spent on the popular show.
