Dancing on the streets of Little Havana continues late into the night, as Cuban-Americans celebrate the death of former Cuban leader Fidel Castro. Cuban-Americans who scorned Fidel Castro have been celebrating the news from the moment they learned of his passing. Some now feel liberated from decades of political repression in their homeland. Acclaimed Cuban-American visual artist Felix Gonzalez attended the day-long gathering outside Versailles restaurant - a hot spot for Cuban exiles. Gonzalez carried an effigy of Castro's head on a stick with the words "la solucion" or "the solution"...below. Celebrated Cuban-American musician Willy Chirino said Fidel's passing was an opportunity to usher in a new era in Cuba. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CUBAN SINGER WILLY CHIRINO SAYING: "It tells me there are a lot of people, of all ages; our people who are hoping for change. A lot of people already hoping for it. Now is the moment to look to the future for a desirable transition." Castro -- a lion of the 20th century who defied the U.S. and brought the Cold War to the West -- died at age 90 after several years of failing health. While Castro supporters decry the celebrations... these Cuban expats have never felt prouder.
