Former U.S. astronaut Buzz Aldrin -- the second man on the moon -- has been evacuated from the South Pole after suffering from a medical emergency. The White Desert tourism company did not offer details about his specific ailment, only that his condition 'deteriorated'. The tour company said the 86-year-old was in stable condition when he was evacuated with a physician to a research center on Ross Island in Antarctica.
