The war is far from over. But these Syrians are celebrating what they hope is the effective end of the battle for Aleppo. Hundreds of them marched through eastern Aleppo's bombed out streets Friday, after the very last rebel hold-outs evacuated the day before. Cheers for the army... ... and pictures of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, for whom the recapture of Aleppo was the biggest victory in over five years of war. The scars of war are everywhere here. And still civilians start returning to their old neighborhoods. For some, it's their first homecoming since the start of war. This man says his joy is "indescribable". The Syrian army had said it's completely retaken all of Aleppo, bringing back - quote - "safety and security". But rebel shelling and air strikes resumed around the city on Friday, reportedly killing six people, including two children. Just as Assad and his allies had hoped the rebel evacuation, weeks in the making, was going to pave the way toward a political solution at last.
