Northern California braces for more heavy flooding

Flash flood warnings have been issued in parts of northern California amid an onslaught of heavy weather that's arrived from the south. Colette Luke reports.

They're sandbagging in parts of northern California...preparing for yet more severe flooding.. Thusands of residents have already been forced to flee their homes in several areas including Monterrey county And to the northeast, the Tuolumne River is anticipated to rise higher than 60 feet....with officials getting ready to open the gates of the Don Pedro Reservoir for the first time in 20 years..to avoid overflow The heavy rain and wind began in Southern California last week...and headed north. (SOUNDBITE) NEIGHBOR TYLER ROWLAND "It's California. We just don't have this type of weather. So, there's a level of unease. I'm thinking to myself that I might not be able to stay in my house tonight." Last Friday and Saturday, the storms killed five people in Southern California. Now residents in the north ar doing all they can to prepare.
