Walt Disney will use augmented reality to lure 'Star Wars' fan to stores around the world. They'll start when new toys are released on September 1st for upcoming film 'The Last Jedi'. More than 20,000 retailers in 30 countries will feature displays - that fans can scan with their smartphones. They'll then be able to access 'Star Wars' characters they can use in photos or video. Using augmented reality technology users can see the characters overlaid on landscapes through a mobile phone camera. The hunt for characters is scheduled to last three days and will accompany 'Force Friday II'. Retailers will start selling the first toys for the 'The Last Jedi' on September 1st. The eighth Star Wars episode is due for release in December this year.
