The investigation into Justine Damond's shooting death is now in the hands of prosecutors who will consider possible charges. The 40-year-old Sydney native, who was living in Minneapolis and engaged to be married, died after she was shot by officer Mohamed Noor in July. Police say Damond had called police about a possible sexual assault near her house and had approached the police after their arrival. The shooting sparked outrage in Minnesota as well as in Australia where the prime minister called the incident shocking and inexplicable. Minneapolis' police chief resigned after the incident. The attorney for Damond's family says they believe the officer should be charged and held accountable. Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman will review the case to determine if any charges should be filed. A decision is expected by the end of the year. Officer Noor has been put on paid leave.
