ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. Turkey knows how to speak the language Iraqi Kurdish regional leader Masoud Barzani will understand if he does not cancel a planned independence referendum, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said on Saturday (September 23). Speaking in the Anatolian city of Kirsehir, Yildirim criticised Barzani's "fixation with independence" and warned of consequences. His latest remarks came as the Turkish army launched a highly visible military drill near the Habur border crossing to Iraq. Military sources said the drill was reinforced with additional troops on Saturday (September 23). The military exercises are due to last until Sept. 26, a day after the planned referendum.
